Bonuses in construction
What premiums are there in the construction industry?
Construction work offers several advantages, including a popular bonus system. Two key bonuses are the loyalty bonus, rewarding commitment to the sector, and the annual bad weather bonus, compensating for rain disruptions. The bad weather bonus equals 2% of the annual gross salary earned and is paid by Constructiv.
What exactly is the loyalty bonus?
It is an annual bonus that rewards you for your loyalty to the construction industry. You can compare it to an end-of-year bonus. It amounts to 9% of the gross annual salary you earned between 1 July and 30 June. A nice extra, right!
What exactly is the bad weather bonus?
The second major bonus is the annual weather leave bonus. To qualify for this, you must be active in building construction, road construction, excavation, dredging, roofing or grouting.
The principle is simple: because you will regularly suffer rain hours during these activities, you will receive a compensation payment. The weather leave bonus is equivalent to 2% of the gross salary you earned between 1 January and 31 December. It is paid out in March or April, by the Constructiv sector fund.
